i found an adapter that is for a TH350 to a NP231. it is very cheap, however i have a dana 300. a buddy of mine said that he thinks the bolt pattern and the spline count is the same on the two. he said he thinks the only difference is the clocking on them

anyone have any further insite as to weather or not this is true?

according to this website http://jeepskate.4x4.org/Trans.htm , "The factory adapter and output shaft are compatible with both the Dana 300 and NP-231 transfer cases"

is this correct?

The bolt pattern is the same exsept for one bolt that is off set. The splines will may not be the same it depends on what tranny the 231 adapter was ment to be behind.

BA 10\5 - 21
ax-15 - 23
ax-5 - 21,23
tf999 - 23

I have a Th350 w/the A.A. adapter for a np231. As long as you have the 23spline adapter which is used mainly when there was an auto trany infront of the 231 org. (AW4) I talked w/the guys at A.A. and they said they will bolt up because they put both bolt paterns on the adapter.

You would have a BA10/5 yes you would need to swap in a ax-15, nv3500, tf999, or aw-4 to use the a dana 300.
