I've been trying to figure out exactly my perfect rig. Tell me if this would work.
1) Take a Scout 800 frame that is set-up for a 304 & PS & PB
2) Drop in a 392/T19/D18/Warn Overdrive and D44 F&R Axles
3) Scout 800 front clip to accomdate the V8
4) Scout 80 tub for the fold down windshield
would this work? I have all except for the Scout 800 setup for V8

Isn't the V8 800 trans tunnel different? I thought a V8's valve cover would hit the trans tunnel and/or steering column.
Plus, where will you find an 800 frame setup for p/s and p/b? that's custom work.
You'll need to cut down the rear '44 for an offset diff to use the Dana 18 like it's supposed to be.
The '18 is also weaker than the Dana 20.. dunno if that means a 392/wideT19 would hurt it or not..
