Azrckcrawler 02-19-2002, 06:43 AM I finally posted some pictures on my site. I still haven't had a chance to do the video captures, so I'll add a few more later.

Here's some of the stuff we walked, no way we'd make it up to the falls and back down in one day (much less go all the way thru)

Two of us on top of the first waterfall.

And at the top.

At the bottom of the second fall looking up.

And looking down from the top.... Kinda re-defines hardcore....

The drive back out was fun too.

okcrawler 02-19-2002, 08:53 AM Too COOL :D

About 19 miles from my house according to the GPS.

If I did not like the beach so much I'd be moving in next door!! I know I could find a better house then I just bought for the same price!:mad3: :mad3:
okcrawler 02-19-2002, 09:32 AM Wanta try again, in say....... 3 weeks? :D :D
I got my X8000i mounted, wired, and tested this weekend.... :p
I don't wanna sound like a jerk or anything, but this trail is way beond a normal 5 rated rock crawling trail, and should not be considered lightly. We only ran the short "easy" part, and that in itself deserves a 5 rating. My next attempt at "assulting the summit" will only be after careful preperation, and then only with a select few very experienced rock crawlers on a two day trip.
JackA 02-19-2002, 11:02 AM That looks bad ass. Me and my new creation will be ready. I am starting to feel the jones from not wheeling the last couple weekends.
A two day wheeling trip? Sounds good to me.:D
Azrckcrawler 02-19-2002, 11:03 AM Agreed. There's no way to run that in a day unless you got all the toys, and even then it's an all day affair.

Yea, a group is only as good as it's weakest link. Anything that level will take a group that works well together to get everyone thru safely.
It's really annoying to be stuck on a trial working on a guys broken rig the whole time he's bragging how he's needed to fix that problem for the last month.
sawzall 02-19-2002, 07:37 PM Does that mean you're gonna get your cage in Zags:rolleyes:
X Frosty X 02-19-2002, 10:05 PM I REALLY need to make the trip to AZ soon:D
Nice pics
Let's see some winch pics going up those falls. There's got to be a good anchor point up there with all that jagged rock. That would be some hard-core winching, if you can do it.

It's been done, do a search, I posted pics a while ago. Problem is it'll take us nearly 8 hours just to get to the falls if everything goes perfect  This run was just a pre-run :D

It is going in now. Thanks for your concern:D I will also be bringing 4 spare birfs, spare front and rear axles, driveshafts ect. ect. I gotta hand it to Chris, this trail is going to be especially hard on the short wheel base rigs. I can envision that zuk coming down the the exit trail like a big yellow beach ball.....

The waterfall doesn't scare me, that exit does......
Crusarius 02-20-2002, 09:34 AM I agree Chis, I think the exit was scarier than the whole trail
I forget what time the group started that I was with, I think we got to the trailhead about 9:00 or 10:00. We made great time got the last waterfall about 4:30 and had to wait for the rest of the group to get fixed and up to the waterfall.
That exit is extremely scary at night when we finally made it out.
we did complete the trail in one day but at the end we where rushing to get out.

I know about half the guys who went on this trail. I really don't want to kid people into thinking they can make it in one day, the guys on that run were all awesome drivers and with seriously setup rigs. How long would you guess that trail is? I bet the rockcrawling portion might be a mile, maybe less.
Crusarius 02-20-2002, 07:31 PM I htink it is about 3/4 mile but it sure seems longer

it's one of those trails where....when you get half way through, you wish you was somewhere else....or say to yourself..what the heck am I doing this for? (know what I mean?)
Hey Chris, I was looking through your pictures of that last run...and the one where the Red Toyota (with no cage) has his back tire 5 miles off the ground......
anyway, Casey is way too close to his tire up in the air......and likes to give you a push.....like he did mine while it was on the RTI ramp......LOL
Good thing we out numbered him on the other side....haha
He said if it had a cage, and no kids on board he would have thought about it...(with an evil grin) I think he was joking?

Couldn't agree more. Sure has alot of comments for somebody who doesn't even have their SAS completed.
TNToy 02-21-2002, 11:10 AM Dude, lighten up! I'm trapped in a computer lab for 5 hours a day with nothing do do besides surf the web. It's either PBB or homework... ;)
...And on March 10, when it is (hopefully) done, I've then earned the automatic right to mouth off on whatever I want since I have 2 solid axles?
UZI 9mm 02-21-2002, 12:26 PM  what the hell was THAT all about?
AZ made the comment that Casey was prone to do evil things like pushing over tippy rigs, and Yota expressed "yikes that's scary!"
with the appropriate visual accompaniment shock smilies
and you guys nuke him?
wasssssuuuuup? are your guy's humour even MORE subtle than his, haha ?
ps-   and yes, i DEFINATELY have way too much time on my hands.:( sigh. help me.

So what you are saying is that you are a web wheeler. I am just poking alittle fun. It's all good. :D
About the right to mouth off cause you have 2 solid axles. When you show me some pix of Getting It, maybe you can talk some smack then. Until then, do your homework.:flipoff2:
