Ok all. I need some help. I have a 97' Wrangler 4.0 and my signals are acting funny. Sometimes, not all the time they will start blinking really fast. Doesn't matter if it is to the left or right. Also, when I have my loghts on and this happens the signal on the dash will stay lit. Sometimes it will go off by itself and other times will stay on for awhile.
I looked all over for the flasher relays, thinking maybe it is my problem but I cant seem to find them anywhere. Anyone able to tell me what I need to do to fix this problem? Also could someone tell me if I do need to change the relay where it is located on the 97' Wrangler. Any and all help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Every time I have had that happen, it was due to one t/s bulb being burned out. maybe you have an intermittant ground at one of the bulb sockets or a broken filament.

Like has been stated you could have one of your bulbs burnt, or a ground.Or your flasher could be getting weak and need replaced.

I'm assuming you don't have LED's, just normal incondecents? Check the bulbs to make sure none are blown and then replace the flasher module.

And if you dont know where to look for the resivoir, look under the rig next to the spare windshield compartment :flipoff2:

You can find where the relay is from this site. (http://www.stu-offroad.com/index.shtml)
If you're using LED's in the front or rear it will flash fast. If you have them in both, the realy stays on ( and the dash light with it.)
The site above will show you how to fix it if it's due to LED's.
If you don't have any, then you've got burned out bulb / wiring problems.

i have a tj and sometimes my turn signal arm on the steering column will not return fully to the "off" position and when i press the brake the turn signal light will come on. not sure if this is ur problem, but i just push the arm up a little bit and the light goes off. other than that if it blinks fast..............u have a bulb out, or your relay is bad/broken
