I have a 88 yj 6cyl 5 speed with a np231 with sye, how can I find out what spline? 21 or 23 spline please help.

Most likely 21 spline. If you have the Puegeot BA-10 transmission, it is probably 21 spline. If you have the later model Aisin AX15 transmission, then you most likely have 23 spline.

its a 23 spline, they put 23 spline in the 6cyl.
