I got a sag pump/hose and bracket from a late 80's van.
When I disconnect the stock bronco pump i realized one of the lines has two electrical wires running to it.
These lines really dont match up at all.
Wtf.

It has a plug going to it

It's a pressure switch, to kick up the idle when you turn the wheel. Don't worry about it.

So you're saying this switch kicks up the idle with the ps pump could not put out enough pressure, and I wont have to worry about that with the hi pressure sag pump line?

No, it kicks up the idle when the power steering puts a load on the engine so the engine doesn't stumble.

AFAIK, only AOD or 302 (can't remember which) broncos had them anyway. my C6 definitely did not have one.

its a 302 thing
my F-150 with a 302/T-18 had one too.

Swap is complete, I must say I'm very happy with it. As for that switch, I didn't reuse it. However, now when I turn the wheels lock to lock, the engine handles BETTER than it did with the switch! It drops only 100-200 rpms, I'm thinking the sag pump provides enough pressure for it to stay up, whatever the cause it works great. I also have to say that this swap wasn't exactly "Bolt-On" like many make it out to be, in my case at least there quite a few things that had to be changed.

What year is your Bronco? Could you post some pix of your handy work?
