The U-joint I used was off of a tracker steering . I cut it off and welded it to the stock steering linkage and the splined clamp off of the sagana box .
the steering U-joints from speedway motors run about $50 bucks each.

dangerber 03-03-2002, 07:12 PM The latest...
dangerber 03-03-2002, 07:13 PM By the way, rear steer on that last pic!! :D
Wilson 03-04-2002, 01:15 AM I caught the rear steer part. What is the wb going to be, that thing will turn on a dime with the rear steer. What axles are you using? Full width ford or bronco's? Hmmmm if that was street legal here, I'd do something like that on project super sami, although "super" is seeming less and less appropriate, the more I read what you guys are doing over here.
nuttzack 03-04-2002, 01:27 AM That turned out pretty good! Something different for sure! you are putting rear steer on that thing?
zukstur 03-05-2002, 05:46 AM I am using a front axel out of a early 77 bronco for my rear steering its a dana 44 with arb. the front axel is a dana 30 out of a wagoneer with a power trax locker which will be replaced some day with an ARB. I wanted a 44 up front but couldnt find one the right width to match the bronco. the steering cylinder im using is off of a gleaner combine. its got the ball joint to bolt right in to the tie rod.
the wheel base is 100"
hope to have rear tube section done today with pics
dangerber 03-11-2002, 09:22 AM Rear tube section...

Tan Wheeler No Mo 03-16-2002, 07:11 PM What is the box from truck or car year any help woud be great.
Im making some changes on my zuk and looking for ideas on a steering box that mount on the inside of the frame not like a toy box on the outside.
Thanks Matt
Rockrat 03-16-2002, 09:22 PM The celica toy box mounts on the inside of the frame 1 option
to keeping it all Yapanese
zukstur 03-17-2002, 08:49 PM the steering box i used was out of an amc gremlin it mounts on the inside of the frame but you would have to relocate the front cross tube because the box is longer then stock steering box.

THanks for the info I had already planned on changing the front cross member when I put toy rear srings on the front so that box sounds like what I want. Matt:beer:
