I just talked to Lyle Marsh, of MRT beadlock fame. If you know anything about the history of beadlocks, you know that, like, 56 years ago this guy started the company and then sold it to someone else. Well, beginning Thurs., Lyle is owner again and I talked to him about some bead locks for my truck. Not only was he the nicest salesman I've ever met in the industry to date, he seemed GENUINELY to appreciate my phone call, reguardless of whether or not I ordered something from him. I had a good conversation with him and am confident that, if I get pre-assembled bead locks, they will be from him. It is a shame that all other businessmen in the 4x4 industry can't be like him.
Anyway, just thought I'd let ya'll know what I thought.

I had heard last week they were going under, so it is good to see Mr. Marsh stepping back in to keep things rolling along :)
I have to agree, I talked to him as well :)
I had an old set of MRT drag slicks. Hard as rocks:D
Thats from back when they were Marsh Racing Tires.

I ended up buying from him about 2 months after I talked to him and he renigged on some portions of the deal that he told me that he would give me then. I realize that I can't expect folks to keep good on things that they can't remember that they said, but it ended up costing me about $200 and it didn't exactly make me happy. I ended up paying full price on every portion of the deal for some wheels that took over a month to be delivered. I understand that they are just getting back on their feet again, but overall I just ended up with a neutral taste in my mouth. I was kind of ticked in the end, too because, had I known I was going to wait that long on the wheels, I would have bought some Trail Readies for slightly less.
Anyway, the craftsmanship of the wheels I got is masterful but the warranty sucks probably the worst in the industry (They come with a card that says that, if there are any defects in craftsmanship, they will not be held responsible.) and there are better products out there for less money. If I did it again I would get Trail Readies or Rock Stompers.

Yeah, well..i talked to him a couple of times too...And he wouldn't back up the previous owners $hitty product...I know it's not his fault but he bought the company and he gets all the issues that come along with it! In the end..I returned my wheels and went allied...and with teh money I saved, I was able to buy a lot of  :D
