Looks good, who makes the seats?

Sliders look nice, and the cage looks BADASS. :cool2:

But that stinger looks like it was built to support a piece of plywood with a hole in it for you know what! You know what I'm sayin? IT'S THE SHITZ! :flipoff2:

I'm totally biased here, but I figure if Medusa and Gunmetalcruz don't have one that big, YA DON"T NEED IT! :smokin:

Seats are custom seats that were made for a street rod. I got them off of Ebay from a failed project. The cool thing is they are heated for the chilly nights on the way back from the trail!! They sit kind of high but I made the seat frame as close as possible to the 28 gallon tank in there. I guess it will be better to see over the hood. They are comfortable.

65SWB45 - Dude - its not that big, there is barley enough room there for the 8274-50 when I get one. However, I think I could hit a cow at 60 and barley feel it. It is stout.

Did you bolt on the bumper, weld on the hood protector and then weld the bolted bumper to the welded hood hoop??

Interesting ;)

Thanks

THe color is very close to the orange color that Dodge is usuing on some of thier Dakota trucks. It has got a lot of metallic in it. It really looks good in person.

The whole thing is removable. It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to do it. I did want to make it removable. I made some custom mounts that bolt to the frame with 4 7/16" bolts using existing holes with the exception of the one that goes through the power steering mount. I then welded the hood protector to those mounts and made sure that it was stout. I then bolted the bumper on and welded the two peices of 1.5 inch tube between the bumper and the hoop. Then I removed the whole set up and had it powdercoated. I don't think it is going anywhere the whole set up is bolted on with 23 - 7/16" grade 8 bolts.

The guy that powdercoated it was great. If you are in the Denver area you should use them - Roadrunner fabrication. I had the 2 sliders, front bumper, roll cage, seat frame, and 4 other mounting plates sandblasted and powdercoated in 2 different colors. He charged me $300.00 even!!! It was a third of what I thought it was going to be.

That's a great idea to weld the two together to keep the bib hoop from collapsing into the radiator in a roll or nosedive. I like it verdy, verdy much. Needs more triangulation.:D

Yea, I was going to go with more triangulation but cut the first tube a little off and then had to match. I was going to go higher on the hood hoop with the support bars. However, I really think it is very strong.
