I have a 99 24v, blah, blah and I noticed this morning that the oil pressure gauge was running almost to the upper limit of the boxed in area, then when it was idling it would drop back down. Also when the wait to start light goes off and I fire the motor the check gauges light would come on for just a second and then goes off. I checked the oil level and it looked high but I wasn't sure of the reading with that 6' dipstick. Any ideas before I head off to the dealership? I don't know squat about diesels but I'm learning. BTW it has a Banks system that was on there when I purchased it from the dealer used. Thanks.:D

the oil pressure fluctuates-- when driving in the morning it will be on the high side and when idling it will be on the low side(just below the 40 mark)---just keep an eye on it--I don't think you have a prob---my truck is a '99 also ---you're going to love this truck---you can join www.diesel-central.com and www.turbodieselregister.com and get a ton of info----or just email me and I'll tell ya what I know---- csutton7@pacbell.net

I let the truck sit all day and checked the oil when I got home and it is above the "safe" level. I am going to drop it off at the dealer saturday and have them change it just to be safe. I just joined Turbo Diesel Registry, I'll be Sloan on there too.:D
