I just noticed while standing in front of the pig and looking down both sides that the rear axle appears to be offcenter in relation to the body in the rear by about an inch. On one side the 33x10.5s are just under the fender and the other side the wheel sits noticably between a half inch to inch inside the fender well.
Could the whole rear end of the body be slightly off? Or is it more likely an axle issue? The pig runs fine under acceleration to 65mph but when i let off the gas at highway speed there is a brief shudder until it settles into deceleration under 60. Could the alignment of the springs be slightly off?

Check your spring center pins, your spring bushings, and make sure the mounts are all riveted on well. Doubt it's the springs themselves.

mine is the same, i wish i noticed it before the SOA so i could've centered it, now i gotta cut the perches loose and do it again, maybe.

Rather than chopping out stuff and recentering the springs- can i simply put a 1/2 inch spacer on the side that is further in the wheelwell?????

If I understand what your saying, one wheel is further forward on one side than on the other. Right?
If that's the case, definately look at the pin that holds the springs leafs together and indexes 'em to the plate.
This happened to me on my front springs. The pin sheared off whgile I was wheeling and over the next 500 miles (it was a long way to home and all accross dirt roads) I ended up dealing out two leaves along the way.
Steering got very scary.
Look at 'em NOW. And I mean really look at 'em. It took me a while to figure out WTF.

I used grade 8 allen bolts to replace my questionable center bolts and felt more secure and they are easy to find. :fj: :fj: :fj: :fj:
Good luck

looks like ther is enough room to drill a new hole on the edge of the pads(s) to try and scoot the axle over, i dont know if its worth it though.

Actually the axle is off side to side-not front to back.
Basically the whole thing appears to be one inch shifted to the passenger side of the pig almost as if one side has about an inch of spacers compared to the other side.
I originally thought it was the rear body that possibly shifted slightly but looking at the body mounts they appear to be unbent.
The hangars are both in the same spot relative to the frame...neither is offset.
hrmmmmm. This ones got me stumped.
