What is the difference between the Dodge and the chevy dana 60, any pro or cons.

I assume you're talking about the fronts and not the rears since Chevy 60 rears were so limited. The answer is, not much. I've heard that the Dodge versions were made in Mexico and had a slightly lesser metal quality, but that's it.

Dana is Dana. Variances will be axle bolt patterns, spring mounts, possible brakes..... :skull:

8?-93 dodge d60
axle bolt pattern is same
studs are different size, dodge smaller at 1/2"
spring mounts further apart on a dodge by ~1"
overall width ~2" narrower on a dodge
brakes very similar with dodge haveing 1.5" thick rotors, chev guys chip in with rotor size
tierods mount higher on the dodge knuckles

My Dodge 60 came with 5/8 wheel studs. Very Important! Watch out for external hubs. They are expensive to replace and easy to break. I broke 4 in a couple months and am now running drive flanges.:roxy:

can you change out the extral hubs, if so what do you have to change to do that?

What years did they come on

Only solution to external hubs is external drive flanges. either way, the torque is transmitter via the 6? bolts similar to jeep front axles:(

yes you could, but at $375 each, it'd be cheaper to get a whole new 60 front.

or even more similar to the rear full float axles.
