i know this is a silly question, but how do i tell if i have a dana 44 or a dana 60 in my '82 Bronco.

Does it have kingpins or balljoints, what lug, and what size of tubes?? And 60's were not any bronco manuf option.

Just look at the webbing around the centersection. It will have a "44" or a "60" cast into it.

is it the factory front end or has a solid axle been swapped in?

Factory is HP D44 with TTB suspension.
