I'm gonna wrap on my new plasma winch line today and wondered if there's anything special i have to keep in mind. I've never wrapped the bottom layer of cable before...i've always just used the cable that came on the winch. Is there any special procedure?

I think you wind it on like you do steel cable - do it under load (winch yourself up a small hill) and steer slightly back and forth so it goes on smoothly. Pay special attention to the turns like from layer 1 to layer 2, use your hands (gloved of course) to help it out and redo these as necessary to get them right. Doing it under load is not as important with rope as it is with cable since rope has very little stretch, but I still think you want the lower layers to be as tight as you can get them. You almost always stick to the upper layers for actual winching so the lower layers should form a solid base.
If you're new to plasma, there's some decent info on this web site including the dude's OVERLY defensive replies to some heat failure incidents.

and thread locker on the anchor bolt...Yesterday I ran my cable out to get it on proper and the bolt (it's real short) came out. i guess Warn don't run 'em down to well.

Just wind it on. You want a tight wrap, but this rope is WAY more forgiving than wire rope is about being crosswrapped or pinch-wound.
Gloves are a good habit, but you won't need them for this rope, unless you are winding in at silly-speed.
