Ok...Is there some kind of locating pin or bar on stock 79 HPD60 disc brakes? I've loosed the nut on the bottom so the caliper can slide but I need to remove the pumpkin side (inner) pad before I can slid the caliper all the way off...Cant get the pad out, every pic of discs I have found you just need to pull the caliper bolts and off it comes...What gives with these older ones?

If the rotor werent in there you could getenough movement out of the pad, slide it on an angle and pull it out...manye its just too late..Im going to bed.

When you loosen the nut there is a square pin that need to be pounded out about 4 inches long running on the bottom edge of caliper. Pound out the pin and caliper comes off.
