I am going to need some brake lines for my axles and I have 3/4t gm calipers in the back and 1ton ford calipers in the front. What size are the fittings on the calipers?
I found a site and it has hoses for cheap, but they are in the sizes #3 x(length) and #4 x(lenght), can I use these?

I can't exactly answer your question, and it looks like you're trying to do this inexpensively (and I'm all for that!). But I'll say the Earl's lines marketed by Pro-Crap for a Ford are pretty nice and will fit your front calipers and will most likely also fit your rear calipers - not sure what you mean by 3/4t GM calipers (as most 3/4t calipers are just single piston and the same as 1/2t calipers), but I ran the Ford Earl's lines on 1/2t Chevy calipers for over a year. There are two diff piston sizes on the single piston Chevys, but I'd doubt the fitting would be a different size from one to the other.

yea I know when I typed in 3/4t I thinking to myself someones going to say they are the same as 1/2t but i felt like fawk it.:flipoff2:
basicly what is #4 and #3 in terms of size and which is compatable with my calipers?
I would get something like what you said but the price is right and and I can get longer lengths if needed.:D
thanks though:beer:

Umm.. your on a racing parts site, in the racing world we use AN fittings (Army-Navy) they have a 37 degree single flare. You can use these but you will have to buy adapters for your calipers and and adapter to go from brake line to the AN. Go with the #3 if you go that route, just about the same diameter as 3/16"

Hydraulic lines and hoses use the silly number of 16s stuff.
3/16 = #3
4/16 = #4
5/8 = #10
and so on.
