exhaust manifold finally went @ 155,000miles. founda pacesetter header for a really good price. looking for pro's/con's, personal experiances. i would much rather go with a borla or banks but being a poor college student it isnt an option right now. thank in advance for the info. 93 yj 2.5L

I used one on a '97 TJ 2.5L and ran it with no troubles.

I will be putting one in my MJ in the next few months. For the price you can't beat the pacesetter in my opinion.

I ran one on my 95 wrangler. No complaints here, price was good, matched it up with a carsound cat and a 40 series Flowmaster. Much better than the cracked stock header.
More than likely I will be getting one for my new project XJ.

Ran a set on my CJ-7 with 258 I-6 and found that the welds around the tubes to the flange were of poor quality and leaked a bit. And ya they run hot. Maybe just my experience but would not go down that road again.

Installed one on 99 2.5 TJ about 4 years ago.. The damn thing just shit out last week; cracked on the inside of one of the tubes. For the price they are great, I'll be ordering another one very soon!

I put one on my 4 bangah in Oct, in March it was cracked in between where all the tubes come together. Junk.

I would personally spend the money on another brand. .02

I have a borla header in my YJ 2.5L If I had to do it again would get a Pace Setter. The borla is way too expensive and didn't fit; after spending 300+ dollars I still had to take the borla header to a machine shop and have the flange machined. There customer service sucked too.

I put mine on early 99. I really like them but I had to deal with a couple things first. I ordered the standard black from Summit got it and found incomplete welds. I didn't bother Summit I called Pacesetter. They sent me the upgrade Ceramic coated headers. I installed it in one day. However the pipe that runs in front then goes back to the cat was too long it interfered with the upper link arm. I had one of the first sets that were meant for the 97-98 TJ it was actually built for the YJ that’s why it was too long. They let me keep the black set because I said I would take it to Marco Muffler and have them make what I needed. Marco charged me $80 to make the piece I needed with bolt and flange fittings. And a new O2 sensor hole. I sent Pictures of the work Marco did for me and pointed out the clearance issues on a lifted Jeep. They supposedly stop sending the end part that was meant for YJ's and made TJ end parts. I sold the repaired header for $150.
To date I have 115,000 mi, no exhaust leaks.
