I have here in front of me a dana 44 axles passenger side drop with 8 lugs for my suburban but its out of a jeep grand waggy!!!!!!!! It seems that wms to wms is same width of my 14bolt so can i use this axle????????

so some one put a 8 lug convert on it, not oddball at all.

just take every thing from the knuckle out and put it on yours.

oh i didnt even think about that...take off all knuckles and steering and bolt it on my 10bolt front????????...THats a fantastic idea...Dumb question, everything is identical right...backing plate bolt pattern hub assembly?? I know more about jeeps than chevys so pardon some newbie questions

gear ratio???? are they the same?? the outers are interchanable, the gears are not

its all good. 10blts have smaller inner shaft splines than a d44 but the stength differance is minimal. the outer stubs and splines are the same.

the knuckels and every thing are dirrect fit.

the spindel patterns are the same but some of the knuckles are different.

just remember what you have and where it is when you ask for parts for the store.

was the waggy d44 sprung over/under? it may have started life in a chevy and got moved.
