How much do you think a Warn 8274 winch with Roller fairlead could get?

I paid $40 for mine last week, it works perfectly too.:D Thats probably an unusally low price. The guy had no clue what he was selling. I did see another locally here in LA for $450. Depending on how old it is $400-$600 is the going rate.

Got mine for $300 and put about $150 in parts into it.

It's in good shape, and I was hoping that with the mounting plate I could get around 700-900. Is that unreasonable,=?

What kind of mounting plate is it? Is the winch the newest 8274, or the older style? I've seen some decent (albeit, older) 8274s at swap meets for 300-400. A friend of mine got for his for 250 with a practically new cable under the first layer (last 5 feet are slightly kinked) and a mounting plate. It all depends though. The 8274s don't seem to hold their value nearly as much as the internal solenoid units, which is completely beyond all logic IMHO.

Then again you never know, list it at what you think is a fair price and then just adjust accordingly.

They go from $400-$600 on ebay usually. You might get a little more with the plate. Or sell the plate seperately. May get even a little more if its the 8274-50.

There was one here locally (Cleveland Ohio) advertised for $400 - only six months old too! I was a few hours late :mad:

I paid $200 for mine, replaced the rusty solonoids and threw on some new cable it it works great.

That is always their price, at least the past few months, it has been.
Go to a store, and ask, or check their website.

A couple years ago, In Greeley, Co. I use to work for Parts America, before they converted to Advanced Auto Parts. We use to get KILLER deals on accessories, IF you knew which REP to talk to.

Anyway, I bought my (older) 8274 @ 6 months ago for $150.00, INCLUDED was the roller fairlead, AND the winch mount, which was the FS truck universal. All I had to do was check the gear oil, and mount it up. Fawken thing works great.
I feel ANY winch under $400 is a bargain, unless it's a retired boat anchor.:flipoff2: :D
