I just got the call from rbs my tcase is going to be built next week But they are out of the 3.8 gear ratio gears. They offered the 4.3 for no additional cost but am not sure truck will be running on 35 inch boggers for now but will eventually move up to 38 maybe 39 inch boggers. I play in the mud and just baxh around if there are rocks I climb it is a multipurpose vehicle. WhicH gears ratio should I go with any suggestions would be appreciated.

Truck has 4.56 gear ratios it is a CUCV I just purchased.
I don't want to be undergeared in the Mud.

I ran a SBC, SM 465, 4.3 Atlas in my Scout w/ 4.56's & 38's. It worked out great...1st was for super low stuff, 2nd for semi hard rock crawling, 3rd for most everything else...

4.3 with a 6.2L and automatic, tough call. Might be too much gear.

I probably should have mentioned I am looking at getting a LS1 this week. For more Power. It's the best bang for the buck I've found so far. $2500.00 bucks 35K complete with harness and computer.
