Welcome, Chubb's :flipoff2: :D
I've been folowing the "Longfields" post also, and I do not know of anyone who has broken one yet. I still have the stock Birf's in my front end, but if I ever break another one I am going to buy a pair. I don't recall their price but I know you gotta send him yours as core first. Go to the Toyota page, and search "super birfield" eventually you'll run across Mr. Long's number.
As for the shock mounts, I used towers off of an old Ford - you gotta cut off the stock bump-stop mounts to make room for the tower. Lots of Suzuki aftermarket guys sell the towers. No pic's handy, tho. Go look at some of Azrockcrawler's picture posts or got to his website - I know he's got Toy axles & he likes to take Lots of pic's :D Surely there will be some of his front end & you can see his towers.

Shipped my cores off to him yesterday.

$115 each with a core, $175 each for a new one. It cost me $230, plus $20 to ship them to him insured. You can get all the info from http://www.toyotasuperaxles.com
He has shipped around 300 of them, and he's had 3 come back. There's a thread on them right now in the Toy section. It should answer everything you need to know:
Desertoy is going to be running them in the CALROCS event, where something in his front end is almost guranteed to break. We'll see what does. Also go check out the writeup on the Longfields in the reviews section here on pirate4x4: http://www.pirate4x4.com/productreviews/superbirfield/index.html
