What is the best catalyst for an 87 Ranger with a 2.9 and an a/t??? Gotta smog by end of this year and my cat is history! Oh yeah, I want something with good flow that bolts in to the stock exhaust brackets. What do you suggest and about how much $$$?

First, not sure why your cat is bad, but thats another post. Depending on if you hav two cats or one, any cat will do just fine. Putting the money into a high flow cat is a waste if you don't have the rest of the exhaust, and engine to require it. If you are still running a stock motor, and the factory exhaust manifolds, then a high flow cat is not going to change anything. Just put in a factory cat from a local parts store and be done with it..
