MOG High Steer Arms

We are proud to offer high steer arms for MOG 404 axles. They are fully welded when you recieve them. They are made from cnc laser cut plate from 1/2 inch to 5/16 inch thick. I personally have them on my rig. I am running a PSC double ended ram with them. Due to the nature of this part and all of the lawyers out there this part is for offroad use only... I am sure you understand.

That arm actually looks strong. Most of the arms built that way seem weak.
Could you lower the attachment point for people running the out of date leaf springs like me.
(I dont need any)(I just have yet to see anyone else make an arm thats worth using).

you would loose some of the strenght in the arm lowering the mounting point. If someone was interested I would look into it in more detail.

I think you could lower them some and still have, or even gain some strength. My reasoning is there is so much leverage at the top of the portal to turn the tires. It seams like the closer to the center of the wheel you are, the less stress you would put on the knuckles and the bolts holding the arm on.

the way that the arm is design in my opinion you will loose strenght by lowering the arm. The way we have the arm designed it transfers load to the rear of the portal box as well as the front. By lowering the arm you will be attaching the the portal box off of the front three bolts with some type of wrap around to brace it. The problem there is the leverage created from the short distance from the rod end to the front of the portal box. As we have it we have a longer leverage point to make the portal box turn. If you will notice we are not just turning from the top of the portal box. The arm wraps all the way around the box and transfer load to the lower section of the portal box. I agree if we only had it attaching to the top of the portal box it would create too much stress.

Sorry these arms only use rod ends in double shear. Sorry no tre's on these. Let me know if you think it will work for you.
