OK, I'm installing my T-4 tranny and I'm stuck. Every
time I slide the tranny through the throw
out bearing I get stuck. It just doesn't want to go the
last half an inch. I'm guessing that it is
getting stuck on the pilot bushing. Anybody have any
suggestions on how to get it all the in? I'm
afraid to beat on the tranny with a BFH.

push harder :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

I dunno.. it might just be a problem with it not wanting to go in further.. try to start a bolt in the bell housing to suck the tranny in that way.. if you get too much resistant.. stop.. but chances are.. it will slide in the rest of the way

1. make sure the bellhousing plate is perpendicular to the ground. Put a jack under the oil pan to move the engine if necessary. Moving in two planes (fore-aft & up-down) is a biatch.

2. When it gets stuck, turn the output shaft - this will make sure you get on the clutch disk.

3. Don't force it - when it's in line, it'll just go nicely.

Hey. You are supposed to remove them, and then use them for a boat anchor. You don't re-intall them.:D
