I recently perched my stock 96 zuk on its chassis rails on top of a large mound. :shaking: I have no idea whether it would be connected to the problem, but recently in 4wd hi when i get off the gas there is u slight shuddering. Please tell me good things, if there is any, my wallet is empty enough!!!!

check your u-joints, check the mounts on the t-case

check u-joints--heck grap each shaft with tcase in neutral (e-brake on) and turn the shaft by hand. you should see/hear the problem---weather its a u joint a pinion or whatever

visually check the tcase mounts---try to lift the t case (light enuf to do without problem---if nothing do a function check

an easy function check on the t-case would be put your veh in 4-low---then 1st gear---and put a good strain on it (powerbrake) not to long---but long enuf to put a small strain on the engine---this should be enuf to seperate the t-case mounts---if no noise---do the same in reverse--no noise---probly not a problem---(note keep an eye on your t-case shifter---it will move a ton when the mounts totally go)

my bet is its a u-joint tho----mine had the same problem when i bought it--(it was so bad the guy i bought it from thought the tranny was toast= screamin deal for me--1 u-joint and all was good)
