What's the best deal you have found recently? Does this sound like a good deal, or a smoking good deal?? Includes roller fairlead... $969.34 including shipping...

Yea, yea... I'm still a newbie, :flipoff2: bring it on!

Well that's where i found it for $864.29 + $53.19 shipping to me,+ $51.86 tax  You get screwed with sales tax even if it is shipped to you from out of state because advance auto has entities in every state. Part # 38631

Yep it is, but the 8274 will fit better for my application. With an extended frame length, It will allow for a better approach angle and sit lower and between the frame rails. The other style winches have to go on the front or on top of the frame rails. For the kind of wheeling around here, i want the fast line speed. I'm always running a line to pull someone else, when i'm done, i want to be able to spool in quick and get back on the trail. Plus, i've personally smoked a ramsey and seen several others go up as well. I figure with an 8274 and a snatch block, there aint much i wont be able to pull. :D

Advance does have the XD9000i part # 27550
for  $1049.99 + shipping&tax.

I dunno, this is pretty good for a newbies first post. Much better than "How do I run 33s with out rubbing?" - isn't it?

If you don't mind a little work for a GOOD deal, then gather around..

Jeep used to have the 8274 as a dealer option on the CJ-7, so many idiots went and bought the option event though they never used it. That big ol' brute just sat on the front of the Jeep and spaltted bugs for the last ?? years.

Now the trick is to get the local photo buys, and find someone trying to sell that ol' hunk of junk CJ with an 8274 on the front. When you locate one, call the guy up, and offer him some cash for just the winch and see if they will go for it. I have heard of people getting them for as low as $50 this way. Chances are you can get a nice winch for a couple hundred bucks. Still a good deal even if the thing is not working as Warn sells everything you might need.

I have a club member that just did this. Pulled the winch apart, cleaned it up, and threw in a couple of new parts.. With a little fresh pasint and TLC, the thing works and looks great! (I payed more for his old Warn 8000..):mad3:

I was going to buy the xd9000I and ran short of money so went with the warn m6000 (I hope it will hold up!?) but anyway I did a lot of price searching and comparing and I took my best deal and e-mailed 4wheelparts.com which is like $623.00 posted price and they beat my best price and shipped it for free it cost me $548.00 shipped. I got it and put it on monday. You should try it.
