Yuppers saw this yesterday, its falling off in a few places accross the tire all of them down to the belting, back to 4WPW to get it warrentied (this is the 2 38 i have had to take back!)

are you sure that that might not be caused by the cutting you did? if that tread block flexes more, it could place a lot of addtl stress on that section of rubber.

Think they'll honor it with the grooving?

Second one, huh? That sucks! BTW- I like the way you grooved them. Looks great:)

Good luck @ 4WP!

Mine are grooved a hell of a lot more than that, and I haven't had a problem yet.

Mine too! I don't think it's a problem due to the grooving but 4WP may still make that claim:(

good luck getting it warrentied with the grooving. 4WP are assholes. They fucked up the install on my friends lift, took 3x as long and did a shitty job. then his tire fell off on the freeway and they wouldn't take responability.

he was pushing to get a refund since they could have killed him and over charged him. He ended up settling for $1000 credit. $600 of which he wasted on an alternator:eek:

This just recently happened to a friend and 4wpw would not waranty the tire. So he called and talked to one of the ingeneers at interco and they had him cut out the cerial # on the tire and they sent him a new one in about a week at no charge. Verry cool I think. So if possible by pass 4wpw

At separate times I had 3-35.14.5 SSRs blow out at about 60mph on the interstate. I'm sure it started out looking like the pic above but I never noticed it until BAM!
It sounded like a shotgun going off in the back seat and sent the truck off into the grass. Luckily my dog nor myself were hurt, but we were both really cautious about driving them on the highway anymore. You have to talk to Denman tire because they are the people that make swampers for interco. After a couple months of nagging they finally paid up for the damage to the quarter panel that occured.

on a funny little side note about 4wps, just cause i hate them: the san antonio branch installed a rock ready 8 inch lift on a brand new cherokee last year. they botched it so bad that transfercase exploded while driving it around the block ( hmmm, i guess it did need the slip yoke eliminator after all ). then, after they put it all back together with a new transfer case, i believe the same thing happened to the transmission or something. ( i was out of town and heard this part when i got back, as this whole fiasco lasted almost a year ) anyways, they kept this poor guys truck forever, and when they finally gave it back after he was madder than hell, they tried to charge him for all the work the did to fix all the BAD work they did originally, telling him the lift kit was a prototype and all kindsa other crap. since it was a brand new truck, i believe they ended up having to take over payments and keep the truck. anyways, the thing is still there i think. go check it out if you live in the city, its the gray cherokee up on 35s and ask them to tell you the story, i'm sure its changes quite a bit when they tell it.

I just got back, they are going to warrenty it, grooved or not, when i bought the tires i was never handed anything in writeing saying the grooving would void a manufactuers defect, Sure swamper might say that, but how am i supposed to know this?
the bad thing is they don't have another tire untill Weds, i wanted to go wheeling this weekend, anyone with a 38 on a ford im they want to hoe out to me?
Just yell and bitch and 4WPW will do you right

Considering interco manufactures the bogger specifically to be recut... I dont think they'll have a problem with it.

dobble checked my sticker that is on the tire when you buy it (i paste them on the side of my tool box) and it say nothing about modifying the tread pattern, I think Interco is up #$@ creek :D, i am GOING to get a new free tire
