Got a quick question, is it really necessary to balance drive shafts if my piggy is a trail pig with little to not driving on streets? Driveshaft shop by me told me that i really dont need to since im never at speeds above 50. id apreciate your input

The quick answer is no. I would not worry about it. If you use it around town or for beer runs to town on the weekend wheeling trips, you may want to balance your rear only.

Mine get so banged up, I doubt they are balanced anymore...

Nolen's right. If you don't purt many miles and their low MPH, you're fine. Biggest risk with unbalanced driveshaft (ask me how I know) is that it will eventually eat your pinion bearing and seal, but probably only at higher speeds.

I have been running square drivelines front and rear for over 3 years and I haven't had problems. Very little vibration, but I know they can't be balanced! So who cares if they are balanced or not if you're just gunna be a trail whore!

Thanks for the quick reply. That makes me very happy now i dont have to spend 65 a shaft to get them balanced.
