i have a 89 f 450 with a 7.3 and a zf 5 speed. 2wd
i just got a zf 5 speed from a 88 f 350 with a 351. also 2wd

what are the differances between the 2 trasmitions

is the bellhousing pattern differant?
if so what parts can i use for spares?

what is it worth if i was to get ride of it?

I think the only thing that interchanges is the rear case half, maby shift forks and such, kinda pointless, too bad only 2wd cuz everyone with a ford should have one

I think only the shifter handle interchanges :D

The 351 version has the smallblock pattern, wide ratio, and a yoke on the back. (i.e. 2wd).

The F450 version has the diesel pattern, close ratio, and has a 6-bolt 31-spline output (same as 4wd). The driveshaft brake unit bolts on just like a transfer case.
