my vote is BAR NONE the Fat City Bronco. sorry, i don't have any pic's. but that thing is "THE SHIT" !!!

but my next pick would be the MK! Scorpion. i know it has a shitty brake over and all that crap but the inovation, state of the art Yada,Yada, etc
if i had to have a truck that would get me around Mars it would be the Fat City Bronco. so who or what truck is your "Top of The Food Chain"?

post pic's!!!

what's your criteria? best offroad performer? coolest or most intriguing? truck we'd most like to have? etc.

The one with the biggest teeth. :flipoff2:

I don't think there is any one best truck. As far as innovation I think the full on desert race trucks are where it's at.

there is no criteria. simply what truck do you feel is "the best" the one you would most "want to be your's"

there was also a 67 step side ford 427 side oiler in toptruck challange afew years ago that i really liked. also Robby Gordon's Trophy truck would be up there. but the "top of the food chain" for me would still be the Fat City Bronco.

so whats your"s?

top of the truck food chain would be that monster artic k truck that keeps popping up around here. i didn't feel like going and finding the pic since we've all seen it 20 times.

I agree that Jeep above is king, Its by far the most cabable, I sometimes think that Sam Pattons HEPE is a good one just cause the way he driver you know? His Jeep has got a few goodies on it, and hes allways changing it to.:skull:

It's all about what your doing IMO... For example, I'd leave that very tough looking Jeep (obviously built way more than mine)above sitting at some trail heads around here wondering how the hell to get that much width through the trees, so would that mean I had gone where he couldn't thus making my Jeep superior? guess not :D But for an "all around top dog" too wide won't always do it. Then the opposite could be said for side hilling with too narrow of a rig, you lose some stability. Just an example of why these "whats the best rig" threads never really have a true winner. My .69 cents. Anyway, as long as it's a Jeep it's above most :D :flipoff2:

Tough choice. Would probably give the nod to Ron Pense's "Tatar". Tatar took 1st place at 20 of 32 events in '92, and that's all but unheard of in mud racing. Tatar also was the very first vehicle ever to be shod with grooved Boggers :smokin:

But, Pense has retired from racing & there's a new champ. And he's damn near as dominant. Chris Boulet's "Obsession" is the fastest machine ever to hit the mud. 2,400HP will do that for ya ;)

hey - where do I get a nice tight black t shirt like that?

Nice mullet too

BTW - who needs 3 oil filters???

And why is the driver leaning out and checking the left front, and the passenger hanging on with a death grip as they drive over tiny pebbles in water not even as deep as the bottom of the VERY SHINY front diff??

This picture at least, REEKS of poseurs

Top of the food chain - I think not!!

uh thats the optima battery:rolleyes:
mullets are cool, atleast they were:D
if you look closer, there is something past the left front tire and that would be my guess as to what hes looking at. its obviously just a magazine shot that looks kinda cool. and gee the cage is the same color as the coils, which is the same color as the frame which is the same color as the front bumper and everything else. the "shiny"diff cover is silver paint or a light grey.
get over it:flipoff2:

I'm biased, but I think Tracey Jordan's AZ "Land Cruiser" (what's left of it) with rear steering is near the top of the Land Cruiser food chain. I'm guessing Alan Lunghi's NorCAL FJ55 is up there as well.

I can't remember his name right now (is it Chris?), but that trick yellow Sammi that goes wheeling in Arizona four times a week is also up there in my book!

its obviously just a magazine shot that looks kinda cool. .

Uh...m'bee to you it does....still looks pathetic to me. Hey - if we can't rip on one another here...where else?

And your point is??? That it is obviously either never used, or hasn;t yet been used, and is therefore completely unproven...either way...a lousy choice for top of the food chain ...which was my point.

See pics of JRs rig for what plausable contenders look like :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Get him Vista! That rig is, um well, scary!!!!
When i first saw that in a mag i almost shit my pants i laughed so hard. Best thing about that piece is the tires. My vote goes to Mr. Reynolds. Especially since i watched it being built.
By the way, good luck John. You will definitly get my vote.

The bronco and jeep are definitely sweet. Here's Dan Johnson's "Rock Mog", you may have seen it winning the competition that was just on ESPN2.

i think what that thing is missing is another three feet of body lift.

This one:

http://www.pnw4x4.net/images/reiter_011902/DCP00961.JPG

Why? because:

1) I can still drive it on the street (nothing better than 60-70+ degrees, no top no doors, looking at everyone else crammed in their little cars looking at miserable in that rush hour traffic)
2) Its mine
3) Its mine

To me the perfect rig is one thats capable and can still be driven down the streets as a daily if you want. That eliminates 95% of the rock buggys.. whish are cool.. but lack the general purpose of a somewhat street legal rig.. making them a little more useless in the big picture. ;)
