An SSR is pretty much a TSL with a tighter lug pattern, center lug siping, and cute little side treads. Oh yes, and they are radial. So WHY would anyone pay $50 more per tire for these when they could just get some TSL/radials and sipe the centers? Or is there something I am missing.:usa:

Different tire sizes for one.

Different Durometer of rubber as well
IME the SSR's (in a 12.50 width) kick ass in the snow. I'm not saying the TSL's wouldn't because I've never tried them. I'm going Radial TSL this time because of the lower price.

My 10.5 TSL/radials with siped centers kick ass in the snow, too. You wont regret the radials.

Another difference between the 36x12.50 TSL and 37x 12.50 SSR is the size of the center lugs, the 36's are tiny, the 36x14.50 has the larger lugs, as do the SSR's. Mine are awesome in the snow.
