Is there some plate on the block that gives a date code? I'd like to know just what I have as I'm starting to not believe the seller...

There is a casted # on the back of the engine, behind and below the drivers side cyl head.
There is also a stamped # on the pass side front of the engine. looking at the front of the engine, just below the cyl head, there is a flat machined surface, this is where the # is. :skull:

The only thing cast into the block at this position is 5.7L, which tells me it's a 350. There is some data stamped into the front right of the block. Does this data represent a date code or build code? Where can I find info on what it means? I will post the info later, once I've gotten a chance to record it.
