Anyone know who makes an aggressive radial tire in a Q78 15 size? Looks like interco makes a regular TSL Swamper, but I want some radials.
(Before anyone asks, Q78 is approx 35x9.5)

How are they on the rocks? Mostly concerned about sidewall strength.

I can't remember any of my friends taking out a sidewall yet.
I think one guy broke the "face" once or twice (can't remember if it was the bias, the nylon, or radial version..).. with a '79 Bronco w/ 460 and the Q78s.
An EB with the P78s went to Moab and didn't complain of any traction problems. The 35x12.50 BFG AT KOs he later put on (won 'em) were no comparison.. he traded the ATs for a set of BFG MTs (35s) and still thinks the 33" Buckshots were better tires..

would a Q78 TSL be ok to use as a spare if I run 38.5x12.5 TSL/SX...just something to get me off the trail???

They are the conveted measurements I suspect. I have a set of 275/85/15's and new they are a 34/12.5. Mine have little tread left so they measure out to being the same size as most new 33/12.5's.

Yes that would work for a fix...if you got a rear flat trade a front to that spot and run the slightly smaller tire up front...if your going to run on the open road....Ive done it a lot...

A 38" TSL (not sure about SX) usually measures 36-36.5"
A Q78 TSL is 35-35.5" so you can make up the difference by not airing down the spare. I have a buddy that does that...
