I am putting a d44f together with an arb, and the shop I ordered yukon shafts from, sold my long side inner shaft on me before I picked it up :mad3: , Well they substituted the yukon with a warn shaft because they said the yukon was unavailable at this time. Fine, I assemble the short side , np. but when I try to assemble the long side, it seem there is so much more beef in the warn shaft I can't get the trunnion retainer or cap past the center of the yoke on the warn shaft side. Is this normal, do you have to grind or machine the axle to put an OX in? On the Yukon side(outer) it assembles fine. I hope someone has come across this problem before...thanks.

I really need some advise, the shop I bought them from said they would send the shaft out for me and have the center machined down...won't that weaken the shaft?
