Bring it to Southern California, Stinkyfab Metals Works.

Stroll down the pics, you will see my cage where it was a few months ago. We just finished the seat mounts for the front seats. I probably will not be using a back seat. We will be installing a Tuffy Overhead console and center console. Regular lap/shoulder retractible belts plus a latching lap belt. I wanted to keep the ability to recline my seats, so I am not going with a full harness.

I know it is a little out of the neighborhood but it is a nice time of year to bring the family to San Diego for a vacation anyway, right?

Steve, be careful of that Tuffy overhead console. I've seen pics of a Jeep guy who hit his head(with seat belt on) and it took an ear off of him. I know that when I flopped my Bronco on the road I smacked my cage right at my ear level and gave me a nice concussion. Personally, I'll never run a CB or over console in an EB. Jeeps have a lot more head clearance than EB do too.

Don't know about the tuffy's, but in an eb as long as you have a real seatbelt on--your head should never hit any part of the cage. Especially if you don't still have the factory seats...

If you want to go a cheaper route I am thinking of getting rid of my cage. All you would have to do is add some seat bars and clean it up a little. I might be able to add seat bars.

It ties into the rocksliders or in the normal 6 points most cages are. Plus I have rear shock hoops built in the rear.

I had a "real" seat belt on. I'm 6'2" and I had a three point seat belt on with 01' Honda Civic seats in it. :shaking: BTW, any seat belt will still allow the body to move a few inches upon impact.

The Tuffy console allows the CB or radio to hang below the harness bar anyway.

I am hoping the contour of the cage and with my seats mounted low, head room will not be an issue. It seems to be quite roomy but we won't get the console in till next time down.

So Scotty, you have a Jeep also? SG

Had a Jeep(thus the old screen name). Sold it when I decided that the Bronco was the more family friendly trail rig. The Jeep was built for the Hammers and was out of its element in anything but a rock garden(pre-running and stuff). The Bronco is a much better all-around rig. It fits the whole family (wife and three kids)with the custom rear seat setup.

Oh, and here is my cage design to stay on topic a little.
