I have a 241 t-case in my shortend chevy 1500. It still has a slip yoke on it and has about 200k on it as far as i know.

Heres the problem, it is makeing noise when im doing 40+ and OFF the gas... If im on the gas it sounds fine...

Now im thinking about the slip yoke eliminator kit but i'm trying to find out if this kit will fix my problem at the same time or do i need to find another form of a rebuild kit as well.

I have not opened it up to look at the insides, and I am pretty sure that the noise is coming from the t-case. It still seems to work fine and i think this is in combination with my driveshaft not being the correct length, its looking a bit long.

If anyone knows of a good place to get a rebuild kit for it please let me know so i can look into it. JB conversions has a pretty good step by step on the slip yoke eliminator, but i will probably get one trhough high angle because i want to get their driveline ebrake as well.

Any advice is apreciated, and I did use the search function for a while before posting.

Thanks all in advance,
-Chad

I have noise under the same conditions, but I think it's my rear driveshaft angle.

Yea i think that has part to do with it, and thats why i want to get the slip yoke eliminator in the super short version...

I'd be willin to bet if you drop your drivline and take the four bolts holding the tail housing of the t/c off you would find a broken snap ring that should be on the output shaft. See alot of those at work.
