Will a 4L60E tranny from a '04 Tahoe bolt up in place of the 4L60E tranny in a '96 Tahoe? Are the spline counts the same for the transfer case to bolt up? I have been searching the internet (and Pirate) for hours now trying to find out what the spline count is on the '04. I think mine ('96) is 27-spline? Will it bolt up to the block? The '96 is a Gen II motor and the '04 is a Gen III. Are the bolt holes the same? Also, is the torque converter stall the same? Thanks in advance.

Yes the bolt pattern is the same. The output shaft should also be the same. The computer controls for the 04 4L60E are much different and will not work.
