Tera 60, Atlas, long arm, blah, blah, blah.... I am thinking about uping my insurance. I want to get my money back out of the mods I have put on. Mine is a DD so I have a better chance of fawkin it up. Anyone here do this? How did it work with your insurance company? Raised premium?

Take a lot of pictures showing everything you have done to your rig. Keep all receipts showing what you have bought. Have someone who know what you have done give you a written estimate of what it is worth (club presidents, people like that). Take all of this to your insurance agent (hope he is cool) and price what your new rate will be. It will definately go up.

Insurance companies are all a pain the rear about special equipment/restorations. On cars that I've restored this is what I do. Liability with an assured value rating that I pick. It's so many bucks per hundred of value. Lots of pictures & receipts. Whatever the total of receipt cost double it to cover your labor. ( Assuming you do you own repair/modifacations) The 725 I drive has a assured value of 8000. Cost is about 50 to 75 per month, liability is roughly 25 to 45 per month. Two insurance companies I deal mostly with is Farmers Insurance & State Farm. Both gave great service. 1 car was rearended at 40 mph. Payoff was next day.

Change Ins. carriers to State Farm...if you are not with them already...they give great rates and WILL cover everything done to your vehicle as long as you have proof you really had it...receipts, pictures,...etc help a lot if you want to you can take a personal articles policy out and insure stuff like your atlas with that...for my wifes wedding ring 100% cover no matter what happens to it with zero deductible insured at $7500 is $25 a year...just another option:D

most of the things on my jeep are insured. Now that I have changed again, I will have to go through all of this again.
My agent wanted all receipts and labor costs (I do all my own work) so I had alittle fudging for that~!
Then he took I would estimate 20 pictures of my rig..
Good luck
oh yeah my insurance is Erie, I do not know if they are natiowide or not....
