So I'm looking at the calendar and trying to plan some wheelin holidays. September or October looks best for our bunch of Canucks. What's the conditions (weather, trail, crowds etc) like at that time for AZ and CA. I'm thinking the Con is getting done this year, maybe JV and a quick blast to AZ if we can fit it in (also got the dunes in OR and some stuff in WA we wouldn't mind hitting).
Thanks in Advance! :flipoff2:

The nice weather in AZ is usually here by October, although last year it was still in the 90's. Either month you guys will need to invest in some shorts, and not those fur-lined ones you get up there :D I wouldn't worry about the crowds or trails, we can show you more trails than you have time for.

They make shorts without fur in them? (LOL)
Thanks Chris! I will definately take you up on that!

If you want to do the con make sure you do it first as it closes near the end of October I think. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

the 'con all depends on your setup, some people have or do run it in the sno' I ran it on labor day .. got drenched with 11" of water in like 8 hours.. the whole trail was bone dry when we started...

If want to do some serious web wheeling you should head to the Hammers in October, for Frostoberfest. It gets really interesting...

The con is usually absolutely sweet the first wek or two of October, but its getting cold by the end. The crowds are gone by that time. Its my favorite time of the year to run it.

Flooded / frozen trails... It sounds just like home! Maybe I won't have to buy un-furlined shorts! :flipoff2:
Maybe we'll have to come a bit earlier since I really wanted to experience rocks without water, snow or mud. Thanks for all the info. You guys rule!
