I left there around 3pm, there where very few scores even posted on the boards. The courses were running slow and from what I heard they were short jugdes. Lots of hammering down on the hills plenty of carnage and a beatiful day.

But not a real big turn out.

Scramblr, do you remember a blue ford ranger? He probly broke pretty quick  , a friend of mine. I was going to spot for him and got layed-off and couldn't go. I hope he did ok, since he will read this later I will just say.... :flipoff2: .

I remember seeing it in the staging area. Didn't see him run. I was there to mainly check out the new series and Cole's new setup. There was alot of breakage, right from the start. Most of the courses were shoot ups and downs. I was thinking maybe Weroc would actually try something a little different but they didn't. I hope the rest of the series ends better then it starts. I also hope tech inspection is acutally something they plan on following through on. I seen way to many things that shouldn't have passed a real tech inspection. The other thing they should focus on is advertising. Not one radio add while we were out there or any billboards. I plan on running the next one, hopefully it has a better turn out.

Top five,

1. Brad Styles
2. Buddy Carlton
3. Otter
4. Marty Hart
5. Rusty Bray

I got to tell this cause I'm still choking on it. I was one point behind Brad going into the lasy obstacle and I was onmy way to a -5 on the last when the fuel vapor locked about eight feet from the exit gate and we couldn't push it thru.

My thoughts on the event...

Little Rich-Good job on the course design, it was challenging and technical, It will be interesting to see what you do at Jellico. You addressed the competitor concerns in a very professional manner and I like how you immediately addressed the open container policy by getting the police involved. :flipoff2:

Big Rich-I like your laid back style with the events, but a couple of things need to be addressed. One, GET SOME JUDGES. I know the story of the club that abandoned you guys, but judging was horrible. I heard one judge say he was not calling out stops because you(the driver) no how long you have before I call a stop and I'm just going to write it down. Second, You guys need a professional announcer. No offense to your family, but you need to get the fans into it with a wireless mic. setup. I will have plenty of giveaways for the next event.

Troy-Thanks to the Badlands for the hospitality and building me one hell of a rig, its going to be a good year.
See you guys in jellico.

Watching Rusty lock up about 10 feet from finishing an awesome run and sealing the deal was tough. Great comp and good courses. Lots of breakage. Many competitors didnt last through the first day. The badlands brought it on some vehicles.

it was a very hard setup that broke alot of rigs including the one i barrowed for the weekend.

On another note---To all of you that stayed at the Attica Inn. I got up Sunday to leave and the parking lot was full of broken bottles and beer cans. My group of 3 spent 30 minutes picking ip all of the junk before we left.

It gives us a bad name when people have no common sense to clean up your mess and maybe act like you give a shit.

How many times can it be said that this is a professional sport and not some teenage party to get drunk and raise hell at. I think it was the top four guys, I would kick them out of the series Rich. :D

BOHOHO! Rusty I really hate that your spotter forgot to put GAS in your rig. I would fire him on the spot. At least I remembered to go by the gas station. Guess you guys were so busy waxing it that you forgot :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: Oh yeah Brad and I are going to enjoy spending the money we won

I saw that crew partying late Saturday night (they were right outside my window) & they were not competitors. It was the trailride guys with the monster sized mud bog Explorer on the trailer behind that huge F250.

thats what i figured. I just figured i would clean up the mess so we didn't get blammed for it. Who ever did it was not cool in my book.

The cops where at the hotel a few times that night and that group never shut up.
