how does a full spool for a c-clip axle work? do you have to get c-clip eliminators?

any help would be appreciated....thanks

It's been a while since I looked into it for a 12-bolt, but it seems like you did have to have a c-clip eliminator for the full spool. You don't have to have it for a minispool.

the reason for getting the full spool is that it is gonna go in an 8.8 that a buddy of mine has and the carriers in them are weak. i have broken two of them in the last year and know of several others that have broken theres.

I have heard that the c-clip eleminator kits are not good to run in off road because they are not designed for the side load. Not sure how true it is but might want to check with it. Im not sure how much the kit is but I imagine by the time you buy the c clip eliminator and a spool you will be pretty close to the price of a detroit. You will still have c clips though. Just some food for thought.
