: Pinion Offset

I just finished retubing a front diff and screwed up on my measurements :shaking: . The pinion is off by 1" to the side. With a 36" or so long driveshaft will I notice any detrimental effects?
I could redo it but would prefer not to go through the hassle again.

Help?

Many, many vehicles have more offset than that from the factory door. Leave it alone, especially since the front usually isn't engaged at speeds which vibrations would be present at.

I was thinking it wouldn't be too big of a deal but wasn't sure. I will still have to drive occasionally in the winter with it engaged but rarely.

Thanks.

Not really enough to worry about. Some of the factory setups are more than that.

Mine is offset too but I did it on purpose to have equal length axle shafts. Sandy Cone did the retube for me and he recommended it so I'm sure its not a problem.
