I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota 2wd that i am converting to 4wd
I am going to spring over in the rear and spring over frotn on YJ leafs
I m easured the 8.25 today and it is about 63" WMS to WMS and i was wondering what axles out there would be around that width. I am going to keep this street legal so i dont really want to go to Full width 1 tons. I seem to remember some axles being 63"

dodge d44 front is 67. 60 or 9.25" rear is 65. Older chrysler 8.75" rears are 63-64.75".
Waggy front ends are 61", and when you make them 8 lug they are 63.

I'd just go fullwidth and get some 15x8 wheels without much backspacking. My old power wagon was 78" wide with 15x8 4" BS wheels and 35's.

I agree, go full width and get wheels with a lot of backspacing.

Works for me!
stock track width with fullsize axles and stock hummer rims. I should have outboarded my rear springs a bit less though since I'm going to need a little more space if I want to go wider than a 12.5" tire, but if the springs were in their stock location it would have been perfect.
redline, is there any chance of you getting some pictures of your motor mounts for me? I want to try 2wd motor mounts but nobody knows if they'll work and I haven't found a 2wd gen III dak in a parking lot that I could actually see under...
