i have one question, what running gear did a early 70's chevy 3/4 ton come with,(i know not much specific information), but a friend know somebody and i would mind getting some full width axles, a 350, and maybe even a 205, if anybody can tell me the options, thanks'

Well if its a 72 or older (the old body style) its different than the 73+ shit.

71 + 72 have disc braked D44's up front with 260x ujoints and external hubs and flattops ('73 also used the 260x, in '74 was the change to 297x).
70 had open knuckle drum braked D44's up front. You can swap the outers from a disc axle to work on this, drums are impossible to find (one year only). 69 and older front axles are closed knuckle drum braked garbage.

The rear axle is most likely an Eaton H052, looks like a ford 9 inch on steroids.
It could also be a D60 FF with 30 spline shafts.

If its a newer truck, it will have the D44 front and a 14 bolt rear.
