I just installed the howell throttle body and it runs like crap. it takes forever to start up, when you start to go it feels like it is missing. i already changed the spark plugs. when it idles it looks like it is shooting alot of gas into the throttle body.

IF you have a solution please send info on how to fix it

Howell TBI was the best thing I did to my heep. What was the setup before? Stock carb or what? Are you still using the stock dizzy and ignition system? How well did it run before? What else have you changed since it ran well?

Having asked that .... I'll say that I did have problems with air leaks around the 2BB manifold adapter plate. Also had to bump up the base idle adjustment to prevent stalls (or stumbling) when coming off the throttle and clutching right away.

Otherwise ... starts instantly, idles perfectly, and runs at all angles.

Lots of things to check for, the manual has some diagnostic things to check, their website has more. Another guess I would have is that your fuel line return to the fuel tank is plugged causing too much fuel pressure. Without the return working then the fuel pressure will be way too much.

The next questions will revolve around what basic diagnostic tools (fuel pressure gauge, voltmeter, and such.)

Make sure all of the grounds are correct. The next thing would be the vacuum lines are correct to the map sensor, I would also check the temp sensor.
