Mostly lurk Land Crusier , Tools, Zuki side and IhMUD. I am needing to get a new DD. Wheel'n rig is a 72' SOA FJ40, locked, geared, pwr str...ect

Anyway, Lady at work has a 96 disco se7 and is asking $2500. States it needs brakes, tires, and has a cracked windshield, body/inter. perfect but havn't seen it. Main concearn, also states it is "stuck" in 4 wheel drive. Could be linkage issue or something more catostrophic (sp).

BTW, have searched and read every post on disco problems, 96 disco, bla bla bla.

Any info to a possible future disco owner would be much appreciated.

If it is a DD why would it need to be in anything other than 4hi non diff lock?

This truck is full-time four wheel drive. It probably can't be shifted into either low or diff lock. It also probably needs a head job, or will.

$2500 is low, but fair given the work it needs. For that price, I'd buy it and give it to Shopboy.
