: Clutch Interchangibility

Gentlemen:
I am wondering if my Centerforce Clutch and flywheel from an 74 F Engine will interchange with a 79 2F Engine. I am told this will work by someone as long as you change everything. If this can be done, can I move the clutch fork over to the right side like the 2f, four speed trannys are, provided I have the parts to do so. The reason for my wanting to do this is my Centerforce Clutch is old in years (perhaps 10) but only has 15,000 miles on it. Most of which are road miles. Thanks, HOOT

Yes, as long as you swap the flywheel too.
Yes, you can swap sides for the clutch fork pivot. There is a single bolt and both sides are drilled and have a cut out for the fork. Use the rubber boots for a 2F as they are easier to switch sides than the metal ones from the F bellhousing.

Pinhead,

Thank you for your reply to my post. I was really happy to hear that I can use my F engine clutch. Again, my thanks.
