i was cruising a junkyard yesterday, and found this tranny with a ford bolt pattern... however, the JY owner said it was a borg warner from a 70s ford truck?! i've never heard of a borg warner tranny in a ford truck... so am i just ill-informed, or did the owner really mean it was a np435 or t18?
BTW, it had a 2wd tailshaft... how could i replace that so as to bolt on a transfer case??

T-18 are good tranny that at least what running with right now in '83 F150 4x4, the only thing you have to do is change out change the 2wd tailshaft to a 4wd tailshaft, (at least what i think)
It should be fairly cheap, i think, at least it was for a buddy of mine with a np435. :usa:

I belive for the NP435 you use a 2wd tranny + AA adapter to bolt a Early Bronco D20 on it... would this work the same for the T18? Any of you bronco guys know?

the 4wd tail shaft wil have 31 spline....and the 2wd will have 28, at least this is what the NP435's have. If you were mating it to bronco D20 then you'd need the 2wd output shaft...But since you have the Jeep D20 I don't think either of em' will work with out a custom shaft
