I am in the process of doing a shackle reversal. I plan on doing it like Dog Walker's write-up. The question I have is about the tab on the spring hanger. When you move it to the front it will get in the way of the bumper bracket. Should I just cut off the tab on the hanger?

torch it to heat it up..then bend that tab in so its level/flush with the hanger top. make sense?...then its like a solid piece again...and no tab stikin up. also stronger i guess:rasta:

I used the opportunity to make a new bumper. It seemed like the perfect time. That way you could get rid of the bumper brackets, and use the tab to align the hanger. The 2x4 tube to make the bumper was like $18. My .02
