:evil: would it be better to mate a 205transfercase to my sm465 tranny or get the Novak adapter and mate my cj7 jeeps original d300 transfercase. Seems alot smaller. Help. But im running 35.s with a v8. Not really going to beat on the jeep alot. Just a few offroad drives a year.

The NP205 is a really strong gear to gear case but suffers from bad gearing for low range driving. If you do lots of rocks and super slow crawling-I wold go with the Dana 300. For all around general trail use and light to moderate off road driving-you can't beat the strength of the NP205-plus they are easy to find and often cheaper than the dana 300's-not to mention the NP205/SM465 is a stock set-up. Keep it simple.
